🔍 Peer Review Process

The Journal of History and Military Studies (JHMS-NDA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic excellence through a rigorous double-blind peer review process.

This review system ensures that:

Authors remain anonymous to reviewers, and Reviewers remain anonymous to authors,
promoting objective and unbiased evaluations.

📝 Review Workflow

Initial Editorial Screening
All manuscripts are first screened by the Editor-in-Chief to ensure they align with the journal’s scope, formatting, and ethical standards.

Reviewer Assignment
At least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise are assigned to evaluate each manuscript. Reviews are based on:

  • Originality and scholarly contribution
  • Historical and theoretical relevance
  • Methodological soundness
  • Clarity, structure, and academic rigor

Reviewer Feedback
Reviewers submit detailed comments and a recommendation (accept, revise, or reject). These comments are forwarded to the corresponding author for review and revision.

Revision and Resubmission
Authors are expected to submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe, addressing all reviewer concerns.

Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection of the manuscript, taking into consideration the reviewers’ feedback and the quality of the revised submission.

This process ensures that every article published by JHMS-NDA meets the journal’s academic, methodological, and ethical standards.
